Privacy Policy

EvalDog (“we”, “us”) is a hosted evaluation tool for LLM and RAG applications, operated by The Testing Academy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it short and plain.

What we collect

• Account data (if you sign in): your email and a user ID from our auth provider.
• Eval data you upload: the test-case files (CSV/JSON/YAML), outputs, and results you create. This is your content — we process it only to produce your report.
• Provider API keys (only if you choose to add them for model-graded evals): stored encrypted at rest and used solely to run your evaluations. We never log them in plaintext and never use your data to train any model.
• Usage analytics: anonymous, aggregated events (page views, feature clicks, eval runs) via Google Analytics to understand and improve the product.

How we use it

• To run your evaluations and show your dashboard, runs, and insights.
• To operate, secure, and improve EvalDog.
• To send service or product updates if you opt in. We don’t sell your data.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) cookies for basic, privacy-respecting analytics. You can decline non-essential cookies via our banner, or use browser controls / GA opt-out. Declining disables analytics tracking for you.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run EvalDog:

• Vercel — hosting
• Google Analytics — usage analytics
• Clerk — authentication (when you sign in)
• Neon / Postgres — data storage (where applicable)

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service. You can request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time by emailing us — we’ll action it promptly.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. API keys, where stored, are encrypted at rest. No method is 100% secure, but we follow sensible, current practices.

Children

EvalDog is not directed to anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use means acceptance.
